Can you sponsor my visa?
Yes. Calligraphia Japan sponsors visa for its students.
Is there a cost for visa sponsorship?
Yes. Since we are a school, you will need to pay a tuition fee and visa processing fee. All fees are outlined on our homepage.
Can I work while on Cultural Activities Visa?
Under the Cultural Activities Visa category, you will need to request for permission from Immigration. However, it is important to note that it is difficult to do so because you will need to do part-time work that is relevant to Japan’s culture. We also highly discourage this, because the main purpose of our school sponsoring this visa is for you to experience and learn about Japanese calligraphy.
Where are your schools located?
At the moment we only have classrooms in Osaka. We are hoping to open new classrooms across Japan soon.
When does the course begin?
You can begin anytime.
Is the visa renewable?
Yes, typically up to 3 or 4 times.
Can I transfer the visa while in Japan?
No, immigration has become strict with this recently. If you are in Japan, you will have to return to your home country to process the visa.
